Baina Trinity

Hello,

My name is Baina Trinity Emerson, twin sister of Silvana. Like my sister stated before, I was born on January 1, 1990...to a...already dead...mother...very morbid, i know...I am personally glad that I was not yet old enough to retain that memory. The reason of my mum's death is most likely the fact that we were born at home with no sterilized equipment, educated doctors, and medicines that could have saved her. Instead it was a midwife who delivered us into this world.

From what I have learned about our family, our da's name was Torrin Emerson and our mum's name was Fiona. They lived on a farm and though it was a hard life, they were able to get by and be happy. I don't remember much about our da. He had red hair and I'm not talking about flaming red...just red and soft bluish-green eyes. He was tall and quite strong from his work on the farm. I remember a tree there that I used to climb and at one point fell off and broke my arm...that was only a year before father died...Silvana never let me live that down because she had constantly told me that I would get hurt climbing the tree like I did, but to me...when I was up at the very top of the tree, I was free. I could see the entire world or at least as far as the eye could see. I used to wonder what it was like and dream of the places that our da had told stories about.

Our mum....I unfortunately only know about her through stories...She had long, wavy brown hair and warm chocolate eyes that da says people could easily get lost in. She used to play the piano and had the most beautiful singing voice. She was also a wonderful dancer, in fact, da met mum while dancing at a friend's party.

We also have a brother named Patrick, but I try not to mention him because Silvana and him were extremely close. He had brown hair and emerald green eyes...He was adopted because mum and da wanted a child, but the doctors had kept saying that they shouldn't. Today he would be 25 years old...I don't know what became of him...he ran away shortly before da died and never contacted us afterwards, not even Silvana.

My sister was always different and never had any real attachment with our da. I don't really know what she did most of her time, but she always seemed to be either in her room reading or out sitting by the pond. There is this one time that I remember very clearly. It was winter and the pond had frozen over. I had wanted to go play one it, but da said that it was to dangerous...After Patrick and him went out back to chop firewood, I decided to disobey da and go play, Silvana just shook her her head silently when I told her what I was doing. So I played on the ice, I was pretty much just slipping and sliding across it. It was a lot of fun, but then the ice suddenly broke underneath me and I fell into the freezing water with a small scream. I tried as hard as I could to get back up to the surface, but all I felt was ice. I remember hearing muffled voices, first one and then more. I don't know how but Silvana ended up in the water with me. It seemed like ages until da and Pat pulled us out. We got a scolding for that, but we also got lots of hot cocoa.

Anyway, after father died we went to live with our Aunt and Uncle, who lived near the ocean...and didn't really like Silvana for some reason...but gave me everything I asked for...They soon got really angry and said that they were sending Silvana to an orphanage and gave me the choice of either staying or going with her, I of course chose to go with her.

The orphanage was also near the ocean...but had a lot of rules that I felt were unnecessary so at seventeen me and Silvana broke out and stole a small ship...though she insists on calling her a boat. We pillage and plunder and have tons of rum, kidding! We don't really do that kind of stuff...well at least not most of the time...

Me? I have brownish-red hair, which is more brown than red and caramel colored eyes. Like my sister, I have an Irish/British accent and for the record, Silvana isn't that much taller than me. I'm also the more adventurous of the two of us and love the sea. I loved the sea ever since the first time I set eyes on it, which was when we were sent to live with our aunt and uncle. I'm usually friendly, but I do have a temper and am very protective of those that I care about. My sister and I are like yin and yang, two parts of a whole.

Well, thats my story, I hope you enjoyed it. I'll tell you more about our life at sea later.

-Baina
